I want to thank Collective Bias® for sponsoring this post. I’ve been in search of the best single-serve coffee since David purchased my Keurig for me as a gift a couple of years ago, and I was excited to be accepted as part of a social shopper insights study for Collective Bias and their client.
I haven’t always been a coffee drinker. For a long time I could not get used to the taste. Shortly after I started my current job, James went through a bout of teething that kept both of us up off and on all night long for a few nights in a row. Finally one morning I broke down and bought a large cup of coffee that I seriously doctored to be able to drink. It didn’t take long for it to become a delicious part of my morning routine.
It wasn’t long after that I started my search for the perfect cup of coffee. I tried lots of different brands and roasts. Then a couple of Christmases ago, David purchased a Keurig® K-Cup® Brewer for me as a gift. Amazing! And one of my favorite gifts ever.
I love that there are so many different options to choose from, and not just coffee, but also apple cider, tea, and hot chocolate. This weekend I tried the new Gevalia single-serve cups. Delicious. Gevalia prides itself on the rich, never bitter taste of their coffee, and I have to agree that it is a really great cup of coffee.
But drinking coffee isn’t just about the caffeine rush. It is also about the experience. Before I became a coffee drinker, I was always a little jealous of people who could settle in with a steaming cup, take a deep breath, and have a… moment. I’m not sure how to put it into words, but if you’ve ever watched coffee drinkers then you know what I’m talking about. This weekend I knew I would have a great cup of Gevalia coffee to enjoy, but I also wanted the experience.
I made a new recipe, Skinny Chocolate Chip Scones, and downloaded a good book to my e-reader. I brewed my coffee and settled in for the whole coffee experience. All I needed was a cool breeze and a front porch to make it perfect. Oh well, something to look forward too.
