Want to see me panic? Be in my car 15 minutes after I’ve left home when I discover that I forgot my phone. Code red! Code red! Code red! That’s what happens in my mind when I realize what I’ve done.
Mornings are busy at my house. I have myself and the kids to get dressed and out the door. Lunches to pack and breakfasts to prepare. And I also have to make sure that the kids and I have all the things we need for the day when we walk out the door. With so much to get done, sometimes my phone gets lost in the shuffle.
I know some of you will not understand my all consuming panic when I forget my phone at home, and I can even admit that it is over the top and ridiculous. I grew up in days (way) before cellphones. My first phone was actually a bag phone that you couldn’t even take out of the car. To go from that to not going to the bathroom at work without my phone in my pocket is kind of… intense. And crazy.
That is the reason it is essential for me to have a bright colored iPhone case. When I lay it down, I want to be sure that I can spot it. I once found someone’s iPhone on the toilet paper holder in the Target bathroom. The thought of doing something like that causes me to have heart palpitations.
I was sent the PureGear DualTek iPhone case in four different colors, and immediately put the bright pink one on my new iPhone 5. I have been using it for a week, and I really like it. At first I wasn’t sure because the cover is slicker than ones I’ve used in the past, but the silicon grips on the sides make it really easy to hold.
It also has these little cushy things on the corners (the package calls them shock absorbing corner impact protection) that protect your phone if you drop it, and it is supposed to protect your phone from a six foot drop.
You can read more about the PureGear DualTek case on their website. Be sure to check them out because they are holding a contest to win an iPhone 5 and a line of the DualTek cases.
