“I ran a thousand miles,” he gasped.
“Literally?” she asked with one eyebrow raised.
“Of course not literally. More like to the end of the driveway.”
Winking, she replied, “Well, that’s a start.”

This week for the Trifextra creative writing prompt we were asked to use hyperbole.

As long as he’s made a start… nicely done.
Thank you.
Baby steps… got to start somewhere.
That’s what they say.
Maybe he has a long driveway. (:
Maybe he does. I hadn’t thought of that.
WELL IF YOU RETRACT YOURSELF THEN IT IS NOT HYPERBOLE, IT IS LYING LIKE A RUG!!!
[sorry, attack of the hyperbole CAPS again]
It was just all in fun.
Ha! This is great. Very nicely written!
Thanks.
Ain’t that the truth! I’ve got to get those clothes off my treadmill… good one.
Those treadmills do make for a great catch all.
Thats more of a start than I had!
That’s more of a start than I’ve had as well.
well, that’s a start hehe good one ^^
Ha!Ha!well,he admitted that it was only to the end of the driveway;-)Well done!
Everyone has to start somewhere.
Well…it is 1000 miles. Isn’t it?
I’m sure it felt like 1000 miles.
He probably lives out in the country with a long driveway. Or you know, he just can’t run very far. YET.
I could write a ton of these just by listening to my oldest. He LOVES hyperbole!!! ;-P
I KNOW how he feels.
Seriously, if I ran to the stop sign at the end of the block, I would expect a band to be playing for me when I got back on the porch.
