Mama Melch at Midwestern Berliners does this cute feature called “Ask Annika” on her blog. She has people send in questions that she turns around and asks her four year old daughter. I thought it was a super cute idea, and decided to copy her.
Cady and I were home sick on Wednesday and Thrusday. I thought that would be a great time to ask her the questions people had given me on my Facebook page. I think the answer to the question about kindergarten is my favorite.
What was your favorite question? What would you ask Cady? You never know. It might appear in the video in the future.

My favorite question was “If someone was picking on your brother.” There’s an important element of trust when she walks away from her brother to get that teacher!!! She’s learned she has someone she can count on. Oops. And she just helped me figure out what to do about a little situation my kids have with one of their friends.
Cady, What are you looking forward to doing when you grow up? You know…Making delicious meals? Making your home cozy? Traveling? Being able to decide when you get up and when you go to sleep? (hee hee) Laundry?
Also, what do you want to do for a job? I wanted to be a veterinarian until I found out how much manure was involved. And my uncle had to take rabies shots and got kicked by a cow.
Yes, I was very happy that she would try to get them to stop, and then go get help if needed. That is exactly what we teach them to do.
Love her. I can so see you in her in the way she answers those questions. I think her “good luck” is right on target! Love the sarcasm!
I know! I busted out laughing, because she sincerely means that (in a sarcastic way).
That was so cute! I love how she says Mama.
Oh yes. She is a momma girl for sure, but I’ve always smiled at the way she says “Daddy.” So cute.
Oh gosh she is adorable! Tell her i will take her to Africa to see a cheetah!
My boys love knock knock jokes….i want to know what Cady’s favorite joke is.
Oh Lord! That’s all I need is the two of you on an African safari. Would you take her to see a cheetah, or to the mall to buy something cheetah print?! LOL
That was cute!! I love her little accent! I would ask her if she met the Queen of England, what would she ask her? ( I need some conversation tips in case I ever run into Liz on the streets of London)
Oh yes, both of the kids have my accent, and I LOVE it.
Australia, Africa, get that girl a passport! So cute Cady. Thanks for answering my question & for playing along.
Oh I know. She’s ready to hit the road… as long as she gets to stay little so she can stay with me forever. Gotta love having a baby girl.
I’m so glad everyone got to hear her accent too! I LOVE it!! And I used to confuse Australia and Africa too, when I was little. No lie. I just loved watching this….
Miss y’all!
Love this! This is the kind of video you love to look back on in years to come.
I might have to “steal” this idea too. It would be fun to hear some of Zoe & Ana’s answers.
